Due to continued growth, we are looking for a confident CCNP/ level networking consultant to join the Managed Services business unit within Advanced.

 

As a senior network consultant, you’ll have the opportunity to work across a broad range of networks and networking technology that we manage on behalf of our customers. You’ll be an aspiring architect, who still enjoys the day to day of technical delivery.  You’ll have a varied role working mainly on technical delivery and implementation, but also supporting our presales team with initial scoping and estimating and working on both high- and low-level designs for customers.

 

 

What You Will Do

Working within our Managed Services division, you will primarily be fulfilling customer design and implementation requirements as part the professional services teams:

  • Planning, design and implementation of complex networks for major corporate and government clients. You will be producing high quality, customer facing HLD and LLD documentation.
  • Implementing new networking technologies and delivering change on existing customer systems and across our core network
  • Work with Pre-Sales to develop and refine technical solutions across the product lifecycle.
  • Working with architects in the business to design costed roadmaps and process improvement.

 

What You Will Have

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to devise and implement strategies beneficial to Advanced and our clients.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco firewalls, routers and switches.
  • Experience and appetite to work with a broad range of network technology is desirable, including Palo Alto firewalls, NetScaler, Juniper & HPE/Aruba switching, Meraki full-stack and NAC e.g. Cisco ISE technology
  • Understanding of dedicated hosting, co-location, private cloud and IT outsourcing.
  • Experience and/or recent study of Azure networking and Express Routes is desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 connectivity, fabric infrastructure, storage networking and planning network services.
  • Ability to diagnose deep problems by using tooling such as SPAN and NetFlow.
  • In-depth knowledge of network security best practices.
  • Effective time management skills, ability to multitask and prioritise under pressure.
  • Comfortable working across multiple customers and projects within any given week
  • Strong communication skills, written and oral, conversing at all levels with customers, prospects and internally.
  • Be self-motivated, tenacious, disciplined, enthusiastic and resilient.

One or more of these accreditations would be advantageous but not essential:

  • CCIE or CCNP
  • Microsoft Azure – AZ-900
  • Microsoft M365 – MS-900
