Role Introduction

This is a key role in Advanced's Digital Experience Team within Advanced’s CMO function.

 

You will be joining Advanced at a time of significant change but also of huge opportunity as we transition from a lead generation approach to delivering an end to end SAAS customer journey through an all-new website that will scale and grow as Advanced does.

 

What You Will Do

As Head of SEO, you will be responsible for manging our internal team plus external SEO agency determining the most effective use of the blended resource. You will create, own and implement our SEO strategy covering both product and brand and work closely with our Sector Marketing Directors, Brand and Product Marketing teams to ensure the successful identification, prioritisation, and implementation of SEO programmes.

  • Define and implement SEO strategies.
  • Implementing SEO programmes to drive business performance and Google Core Web Vitals.
  • Selecting and managing an external SEO agency.
  • Utilising offshore content teams to deliver effective organic content.
  • Defining keyword strategy through research and analysis.
  • Ongoing site optimisation both technical and content.
  • Ongoing technical audits in line with Google's recommendations.
  • Managing HARO and Outreach opportunities.
  • Driving intent based content creation process internally and externally.
  • Managing our Google Analytics function.

What You Will Have

A demonstrable history of driving positive change across multiple SEO projects a spart of a defined strategy. Strong stakeholder management skills that you can utilise across multiple business verticals driving consensus through influence if required and experience of managing in-house and ideally external teams and resource.

 

  • 4 plus years hands on experience in a senior SEO role - either client side or within an agency.
  • Experience leading a team – ideally blending internal and external resources.
  • Demonstrable experience in determining and implanting successful SEO strategies.
  • Clear and confident communicator both verbally and written with the ability to tell the SEO story and take stakeholders with you on the journey.
  • Experienced in using data and research to generate insight and opportunities.
  • Highly proficient in relevant tools including Google Search Console, SEMrush, Screaming Frog and GA4.
  • Experience in managing budgets, projects, resource and agency relationships.
