Role Introduction

Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Legal, Professional Services, Distribution, Logistics and Manufacturing, this role is created to lead the legal and professional services vertical to achieve its growth ambitions. 

 

The VP of vertical is the architect of the vertical strategy, responsible for leading and executing our growth strategy in the legal industry, elevating our share and status in the market as a Customer-first organisation recognised for powering the world of work. This role will be hyper diligent on what we're selling, to whom, how and at what price; ensuring cost to serve is aligned with opportunity and yield. 

 

Responsible for growing incremental Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) in Legal & Professional Service, securing the existing customer base and ensuring attainment of incremental sales of SaaS categories to prioritised customers and new prospects, through disciplines of New Business, Account Management and Inside Sales. 

What You Will Do

The leader in this role will be accountable for:

  • The Customer:
    • By being the voice of the market, domain expert and thought leader
    • Owns the strategy for the vertical, working with Category (Product) managers to bring this to life through software
    • By putting primacy on expanding category portfolio in high-value accounts 
    • Drive strategy on Silver and Bronze retention driving 100% RRbV
  • iARR
    • Increase market share and competitiveness
    • Embed customer service focus and excellence
    • Accelerate growth on key products
    • ARR bookings meeting category and vertical commitment
    • Licence and services bookings meeting category and vertical commitment
    • Advance our pricing dynamism
    • Aggressive Graduation campaign to increase ARR and margin
  • EBITDA - expand our margin across the vertical

What You Will Have

  • High performing and strategically focused executive demonstrating strong commercial orientation and sound business judgement
  • Accomplished P&L owner
  • Leading and empowering teams to bring transformational technology to market and focus on the customer experience 
  • Having a track record of achievements that demonstrate strong judgement, sound decision making and a desire to succeed
  • Being entrepreneurial, challenging the status quo and having a customer-focussed approach with a range of strategic ideas to enable our growth as a business
  • Deep understanding of the legal and professional services market and its dynamics, as well as the core needs of customers, partners, and key stakeholders
  • An ability to communicate with clarity and influence with a variety of different stakeholders within a matrix environment and bring a vision to life 
  • Exceptionally strong problem-solving and analytical skills to both define issues and opportunities, and to structure potential solutions and recommendations
  • Brings focus and tenacity to get things done and see through to delivery of results, to anticipate issues and overcome challenges
  • Clear understanding of what is required to sustain operating results and effectiveness
