Role Introduction

We are seeking a skilled NetSuite Architect to enhance and refine our NetSuite ERP platform, focusing on scalability, process optimization, and effective integrations with systems such as OpenAir, Avalara, and ZAB. This role will center on the continuous improvement of NetSuite, maximizing its potential to support business-critical operations, including financial processes, billing, and compliance. Collaborating closely with finance, operations, and IT teams, the NetSuite Architect will strategically guide NetSuite’s evolution to align with organizational goals and ensure robust system performance.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in NetSuite architecture, data integrity, and ERP integrations, coupled with a strong understanding of financial and operational business needs.

What You Will Do

  • System Architecture & Optimization: Lead the enhancement and optimization of NetSuite architecture to support streamlined, efficient workflows. Design scalable solutions aligned with best practices, improving NetSuite’s performance and responsiveness to meet growing business needs.
  • Integration Optimization: Ensure integrations are seamless and support data consistency and accuracy across systems.
  • Business Process Optimization: Partner with finance, billing, and operational teams to identify areas for process improvements within NetSuite. Enhance NetSuite’s support for core functions such as invoicing, revenue recognition, tax compliance, and reporting, ensuring that workflows align with evolving business requirements.
  • Performance Monitoring & Scalability: Conduct continuous monitoring of system performance, implementing optimization strategies as needed. Ensure NetSuite can scale with the organization, supporting increasing transaction volumes and business complexity.
  • Advanced Reporting & Business Insights: Refine and develop reporting and analytics capabilities within NetSuite, creating custom dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights. Empower finance, operations, and leadership teams with accurate, real-time data to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Compliance & Financial Alignment: Ensure NetSuite enhancements align with financial standards and compliance requirements. Work with finance and accounting to maintain configurations that support audit readiness, tax compliance, and revenue recognition standards.
  • Documentation & Standards: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, enhancements, and integrations. Establish best practices and architectural standards for long-term maintainability and knowledge sharing.
  • User Training & Support: Provide high-level support and training to internal NetSuite users, ensuring they are proficient in utilizing new features and enhancements. Act as a resource to address system-related inquiries and ensure smooth user adoption of system improvements.

What You Will Have

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience:
    • 7+ years in a NetSuite architecture or senior consulting role, with a focus on system optimization and ERP solutions.
    • Familiarity with OpenAir, Avalara, and ZAB billing systems is highly preferred.
    • Background in a services-oriented organization with a strong emphasis on finance, billing, and project management.
  • NetSuite Expertise:
    • Advanced knowledge of NetSuite ERP, including system configuration, user role management, data migration, and reporting.
    • Experience with integration tools, such as SuiteTalk, Celigo, or Boomi, to manage data flows between NetSuite and other applications.
  • Project & Change Management: Demonstrated experience leading enhancement projects within NetSuite, with the ability to manage timelines, resources, and communication for successful implementation of system improvements.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: High-level analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex business needs, identify system gaps, and design strategic improvements.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver effective, user-centered solutions.
