Role Introduction

We are looking for a highly skilled engineer with extensive experience in implementation, maintenance and support of the Microsoft 365 Platform.  The engineer will also be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting and technical support of the Power Platform suite across multiple Managed Service customers.

 

Working alongside our Power Platform consultants and as part of a wider team specialising in Application and Microsoft 365 services, you will be providing input into the future development and roadmap for this technology area and helping to take on new services into support.

 

The successful candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to staying updated with the latest Microsoft features and updates across the Power Platform & 365 realms. Communication and collaboration are paramount in this role, you will work closely with a variety of internal and external business stakeholders and will be continually engaged and collaborating both internally and with our clients.

 

This role can be home based on in one of our UK Offices.

What You Will Do

  • Contribute to the implementation, support and transition of new capabilities and the development of new functionality within the Microsoft 365 Stack
  • Develop, Maintain and administer Power Platform solutions and related systems. Troubleshooting, analysing and resolving issues where solutions are not working as designed
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert on support and operational ownership across 365 & Power Platform applications, including Exchange Online & Teams
  • Maintain and manage the 365 platform, including any related tools used to deliver the service
  • Maintain the 365/Power Platform service & service health, performing regular scheduled tasks and activities across our clients
  • Partnering with other BAU support teams to address skills gaps in their ability to work through tickets - sharing and documenting knowledge and best practices with the aim for those teams to support Office 365 independently
  • Work closely with the service transition team, ensuring that newly deployed solutions are configured correctly and ready to take on into BAU support. This may include performing gap-analysis against Microsoft best practice, and implementing the necessary changes needed
  • Work with the Asset Management team where needed, supporting the subscription management services to CSP customers.
  • Work with the Security Operations team where needed, helping to deliver security services related to Microsoft 365 such as analysis of Microsoft Secure Score, integration with customer SIEM solutions and O365 audit logs
  • Support engineering deliverables and other activities, in accordance with the platform roadmap and project timelines.
  • Innovate and drive automation of related activities.
  • Work on other activities as required to support wider business plans and initiatives

What You Will Have

  • Strong ability to communicate and present complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, verbally and in written form.
  • Capable of executing, managing, and leading a set of customers through the onboarding technical and support process
  • Experience in supporting Microsoft 365 with knowledge of Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams and OneDrive.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, with focus on Power Apps, Power Automate and Copilot Studio (Power Virtual Agents)
  • Awareness of LogicApps and the integration between 365 and Power Platform
  • A thirst for knowledge, be constantly keeping abreast of the latest technologies and continually considering how they can be utilised to provide a first class solution
  • Keen willingness to mentor and support others in the team
  • The ability to multi-task, keep accurate logs and provide reports on progress
  • Experience of operating within a multi-supplier / SIAM support model
  • Ability to adapt personal communication style to the style of others, develop rapport and stay calm under pressure or when escalating issues using advanced oral and written English communication skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain UK Government Security Check (SC)

Relevant Qualifications

One or more of these accreditations in the following areas would be highly desirable:

  • Microsoft 365 Fundamentals or Administrator Associate/Expert
  • Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals
  • Microsoft 365 Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals or Administrator Associate
