Role Introduction

Behind every great product, is a great product team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a strategic and fast paced product management team. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch, directing a focused team while working closely with other internal cross-functional teams. As Principal Product Manager for our Time & Attendance products you will be the driving force behind the development of this product line, ensuring market competitiveness, user satisfaction and business success.

This role will require a mix of business & product management know-how as well as a strong drive to understand the wider OneAdvanced Product set and their target markets, in order to deliver innovative platform-driven solutions. This role will look after a set of extremeley important strategic products with an exciting future. The role is predominantly remote/home-based with some travel to our offices and to visit customers as necessary.

What You Will Do

  • Create and communicate a clear product vision and define your product strategy; adapting your strategy to the lifecycle stage of your products
  • Collect and translate Market, Customer & OneAdvanced team needs into high level roadmap initiatives in the form of problems, user scenarios and personas and to drive roadmap planning, prioritisation and delivery.
  • Define your product’s roadmap, clearly articulating the business case where applicable; and understanding when to adjust your roadmap plans
  • Work with other Product Managers, Product Owners and Engineers to drive roadmap initiative delivery, proactively adjusting as applicable. Define key performance indicators & leverage data-driven insights to measure product performance & financial contribution
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful Go To Market strategies to ensure successful product launches, drive user adoption, and gather customer feedback for further iteration and improvement
  • Perform research and analysis to understand the needs of your market, understand your competitor landscape and spend time with your customers to really understand their requirements and the problems your product needs to solve
  • Be the 'voice of the products' you own, championing them and effectively communicating the ongoing product roadmap on a regular basis to internal and external stakeholders
  • Drive the adoption of OneAdvanced Platform components within your products, to accelerate your roadmap delivery and ensure a consistent experience for our customers, whilst also providing input into future Platform roadmap items where opportunities are identified to share solutions with other product teams
  • Driving overall go-to-market strategy, collaborating with all internal stakeholders, to deliver value to our customers
  • Host regular internal and customer facing working groups to further analyse functional requirements and common customer use cases, and gather feedback during development both qualitative and quantitive
  • Closely monitor the growth and profitability of your product, understanding the relevant levers to pull to drive attaining the goals set
  • Mentor less experienced product managers in the team, lending your experience to benefit their own development

What You Will Have

  • Excitement, creativity and the ability to communicate effectively through non-development tools, concepts, ideas and the art of the possible to generate discussion and feedback from internal stakeholders & customers
  • Strong domain knowledge in the Workforce Management / HCM industry and competitor landscape and the nuances in terms of requirements across a range of different sectors
  • Strong, proven experience as a Product Manager in a SaaS company, with a track record of successfully launching and managing SaaS products across the end-to-end product lifecycle
  • Strong commercial awareness and experience of implementing pricing strategies in a SaaS environment whilst managing product profitability
  • Effective strategic leadership – comfortable leading and driving strategy, identifying and formalising strategy partnerships and contributing to Merger & Acquisition projects
  • A curious nature, you will explore new and emerging technologies with a view to their relevance of value within your domain
  • High motivation and a passion for product and technology; comfortable asking probing questions and solving problems. An effective engaging communicator and influencer; builds effective relationships quickly and comfortable making decisions
  • Strong commercial understanding of all cost levers associated with product delivery and growth
  • Previous Product Management experience, and knowledge around the software development life cycle and agile methodologies
