As a key member of our Higher Education team, the HE Account Manager will work closely with the Account Director to drive growth and success within the Higher Education sector. This role is designed to be developmental, with the Account Director providing structured support in learning our portfolio of products, understanding the HE sector, and building core account management skills. Success in this role relies on strong collaboration, ensuring targets are met through a shared effort in account development, opportunity management, and revenue achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Account Support & Growth:
· Collaborate with the Account Director to effectively manage HE accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and account expansion.
· Identify and develop growth opportunities within existing accounts, working closely with internal teams to ensure seamless account execution.
• Contract & Revenue Management:
· Support contract management processes, ensuring accuracy and timely renewals, and maintaining oversight of Net Revenue Retention (NRR) and Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR).
· Proactively work to protect and expand revenue streams, driving business outcomes and growth.
• Account Planning & Review:
· Conduct regular account reviews to assess performance, customer needs, and growth potential, recording and maintaining detailed account plans that align with strategic goals.
· Monitor customer feedback and engagement to support retention and future sales opportunities.
• Internal Collaboration & Communication:
· Liaise with internal departments (e.g., sales, marketing, product development, customer success) to ensure smooth account operations and drive continuous improvements in account management strategy.
· Act as a key point of contact for internal teams regarding account status and needs, providing insights and recommendations to support business growth.
• Professional Development & Learning:
· Develop expertise in the company’s product portfolio, market trends, and the HE sector, engaging in training and mentorship opportunities provided by the Account Director.
· Take initiative in learning best practices in software sales and strategic account management, driving personal and professional growth.
Key Success Metrics:
• Achievement of individual and shared revenue and account growth targets with the Account Director.
• Effective management of contracts, renewals, and revenue retention metrics (NRR & ARR).
• Clear, actionable account plans that support long-term customer relationships and drive business outcomes.
• Strong collaboration and communication with both internal teams and clients, fostering a culture of partnership and growth.
• Demonstrated learning and development progression within the role, with a commitment to ongoing professional growth and self-improvement.

• Experience in account management, customer success, or sales support, preferably within software sales or HE.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and stakeholders, with a focus on collaboration and partnership.
