We are seeking an experienced and proactive MI/BI professional to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining financial and operational models, reports, and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs). This role is pivotal in delivering accurate insights that inform decision-making and drive improvements across the organization. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, particularly within the Financial Operations and other finance teams, as well as the broader business, and work cross-functionally to adapt reporting structures that align with evolving business needs.
· Modelling & Reporting:
o Develop, maintain, and enhance financial and operational models and dashboards to track KPIs related to the company's performance.
o Ensure reports and dashboards are produced accurately and within agreed timelines, meeting quality standards.
· Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
o Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across Finance and the broader business to understand their reporting needs.
o Adapt KPIs, reports, and dashboards in response to changes in business requirements, ensuring they continue to provide relevant and actionable insights.
· Data Analysis & Insights:
o Analyse large datasets to identify trends and patterns that inform business decisions, such as improving working capital management and enhancing billing accuracy.
o Provide detailed analytical breakdowns to quickly identify issues and support business teams in taking prompt corrective actions.
· Key Reporting & Performance Analysis:
o Take ownership of delivering critical analysis used in key reports, including the monthly reports submitted to the CFO and shareholder reporting.
· Business Intelligence System Development:
o Contribute to the evolution of the Finance BI systems by driving the adoption of interactive dashboards and automated reporting.
o Collaborate with system developers, IT teams, and other key stakeholders to design and implement reports that rely on accurate, robust data sources to provide insightful financial and operational information.
· Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization:
o Demonstrate a continuous improvement mentality by identifying opportunities to enhance reporting outputs and user experience.
o Drive efficiency in processes and adapt reporting structures to meet the evolving needs of the business.
· Ad-Hoc Analysis & Modelling:
· Perform ad-hoc analysis and financial modelling as required by senior management or other stakeholders.
Skills & Experience:
Essential:-
· Education & Experience:
o Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in a similar MI/BI Analyst role, preferably within a financial or operational context.
o Strong experience in developing financial models, reporting systems, and dashboards.
· Technical Skills:
o Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with strong skills in financial modelling and data analysis and powerquery
o Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar, including dashboard creation and automation.
o Knowledge of SQL, data querying, and manipulation.
o Familiarity with financial systems and ERP software (e.g., Netsuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.) is a plus.
· Analytical Skills:
o Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and identify meaningful insights.
o Ability to translate data into clear, actionable recommendations to support business decision-making.
· Communication & Collaboration:
o Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
o Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally to achieve business goals.
· Attention to Detail & Problem-Solving:
