Role Introduction

Responsible for carrying out financial and management accounting and reporting for the ITO division and entity of OneAdvanced. Based in York with the wider divisional team, requires at least 3 days in office each week. This role reports into the Finance Controller, as part of the Group finance team. This is a fixed term contract for maternity cover, initial term 15 months, from mid/late July to allow sufficient handover, with potential for extension. 

What You Will Do

  • Primary responsiblity for month end close for the ITO division and entity, in line with Group timelines and policies.
  • Ensure revenue recognition for the business is accurate; review and reconcile to supporting data.
  • Monitor and manage accruals and prepayments.
  • Closely liaise with ITO FinOps (billing, AP) teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions and investigation of issues.
  • Closely liaise with ITO finance business partner to analyse, review, and finalise ITO management reporting of P&L.
  • Ensure robust balance sheet reconciliations are in place for all balance sheet accounts each month, for the ITO entity.
  • Improvement of processes, creating efficiencies and implementing best practice.
  • Work alognside the Group finance team, implement policies and processes as required, and utilise team for wider support, including centre of excellence, as needed.
  • Support with audit requests relating to the ITO division/entity.
  • Support with ad-hoc projects and requests. 

What You Will Have

  • Chartered accountancy qualified with 3+ years experience in industry post qualification
  • Experience of monthly management accounts and working with tight deadlines
  • Pro-active, hands-on working approach
  • Commercial awareness, having a flexible pragmatic approach
  • Ability to interpret and analyse financial data
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to collaborate cross functionally with all departments and senior management
