Role Introduction

The People Advisor role will report into one of our People Business Partners and support a business function. The role will cover end to end People processes, linking in closely with our L&D, TA and Reward/Ops teams.

 

This role will be a hybrid based working pattern with our Birmingham, Mailbox office.

What You Will Do

  • Support the People Business Partners in creation & execution of dedicated functional areas People Strategy.
  • Act as a partner to managers & senior leadership, understanding their business priorities and driving the People Strategy, to agree proactive & appropriate People Relations interventions – to ensure all members of their teams are provided with a work environment which enables best performance and productivity.
  • Partner with Talent, L&D, People Ops in the established squad models where appropriate, to ensure People Strategy is supported and being driven by all areas of the People team.
  • Coaching managers on People Relations best practice, equipping people managers with the tools to manage general people processes and intervening in more complex ER (such as (SA, Tribunals, Appeals, Grievances) as required.
  • Full awareness of the areas People Strategy, including awareness and ownership of ER within the function, with the ability to collate, identify & articulate data trends back to the PBPs and wider business.
  • Assist the business with creating and maintaining a high-performance culture by securing the adoption of the Performance Management Framework and Performance & Talent.
  • Coach and support in HR exercises, such as but not limited to development plans, talent mapping & succession planning.
  • Regular horizon scanning & awareness of external changes & trends for HR, including upcoming policy changes & regulation changes with a view to educate the wider people teams on these.
  • Support & lead were required on People projects, including processes such as M&A, Redundancy and
  • And any other responsibilities in line with the People Advisor role.

What You Will Have

  • Must be a self-starter, finds opportunities for optimisation of processes and proposed new solutions
  • Curious, asks questions and eager to get involved with new projects or initiatives
  • Comfortable operating in a fast pace, high demand and change orientated environment
  • Team player and collaborative, seeks to support others and prioritises the team over all else
  • Experience and skills in business analytics, comfortable with using and managing data to inform decision making
  • Comfortable leveraging HR Metrics to pull trends and data
  • Experience working in an HR function & managing confidential information
  • Experience supporting ER casework & HR project initiatives
