Role Introduction

We are hiring an experienced Account Director to manage our high value customers in our Care business.  You will be responsible for looking after the relationships with our customers in this market throughout the sales cycle, from initial opportunity to closure and renewal. By building strong relationships and asking great questions, you will help our existing customers get access to the latest software and relevant products. Around 50,000 Care professionals have used our software.

 

What You Will Do

  • As an Account Director, you will manage relationships across a complex portfolio
  • Manage the sales cycle from initial opportunity through to close
  • Actively generate and close opportunities within the existing customer base
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts for any given month or year
  • Develop and maintain account plans to achieve individual sales target
  • Manage the relationships with our customers within a defined territory, building out the key contacts, to include C-Suite.
  • Support the wider business with opportunity generation for cross sell.
  • To ensure the delivery of Existing Business revenue in line with the financial year target.
  • Responsible for the growth and maintenance of a healthy pipeline at a level that gives adequate coverage for achievement of targets.
  • Build & maintain strong working relationships with all Advanced departments to ensure that the relevant support is available to deal with all customer queries.
  • Work closely with the Advanced internal marketing team to create and jointly manage sales campaigns that are specifically aimed at whitespace in the client base.
  • Deliver an accurate weekly sales forecast.
  • Work with the Sales Manager / VP to identify key opportunities for growth.
  • Negotiation and closing of contract renewals, working closely with the Sales Manager / VP.
  • Build relationships with customer leadership team and work to understand the internal and external factors influencing their business.
  • Position Advanced’s strategy to the customer leadership team.
  • Document daily activity in Salesforce to track performance.
  • Drive to a goal of all customers becoming referenceable.
  • Visit customers regularly to carry out regular strategic account reviews with key stakeholders
  • Work with Customer Success to resolve any escalations and to ensure value is derived from investment in Advanced.
  • You will be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of Advanced’s product and service offerings.

What You Will Have

  • Account Directors will have strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Experience within Sales in the healthcare/public sector
  • A proven track-record of success in B2B new business sales within a complex client portfolio
  • Effective communication and time management skills
  • Strong and demonstrable experience of building relationships and selling at director-level.
  • Consistent performance of delivering sales and customer satisfaction targets.
  • Experience of account planning and contract management.
  • Experience selling business value to Finance and Business stakeholders using ROI and TCO models, rather than competing on features and functions.
  • Discovery, planning and closing skills.
  • Objection handling.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proven experience of selling cloud software, ideally HR, Payroll and/or Finance.
  • Is empathetic and successful at engaging with all levels in an organisation.
  • A strong focus on building relationships and working within a team-selling environment.
  • Strong discovery skills.
  • Technology awareness; for example, cloud platforms, integration, and analytics.
