The Managed Services division are seeking a Commercial Operations Analyst to join an existing team that are responsible for analysing financial data in order to support the oversight of our Revenue and Cost of Goods sold (COGS). Building reports in Power BI is a requirement of this role as we’re actively working to move away from Excel based processes. An understanding of Managed Services is highly desirable but not essential.

 

We are looking for a detail-oriented and data-driven Commercial Operations Analyst with strong analytical skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for turning data into actionable insights. This role supports the commercial and sales teams by delivering accurate reporting and operational support to drive informed decision-making and improve business performance.

What You Will Do

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the Sales team to provide data insights and support customer-related queries.
  • Monitor and analyse sales, invoicing, and cost of goods data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in the monthly variable billing process, ensuring accurate consumption-based invoicing.
  • Liaise with Sales and Finance teams to gather relevant data and ensure commercial alignment.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and commercial reports using Excel and Power BI.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial information to help management make well-informed decisions.
  • Identify and investigate data trends or anomalies that may impact revenue or operational efficiency.
  • Work cross-functionally to streamline processes, resolve data issues, and improve reporting accuracy.
  • Ad-hoc Analysis: Perform ad-hoc analysis and reporting tasks as needed.

What You Will Have

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data
  • Proficiency in Excel, Power BI
  • Previous experience in managed services is highly preferred but not essential
  • Experience working with sales, billing, or financial data.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across departments.
  • A proactive approach to identifying issues and driving continuous improvement.
