We are now seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Enterprise Risk Management to enhance an already advanced ERM framework, influencing the business at all levels, and turn risk intelligence into foresight that drives growth, innovation, and resilience.


This is a senior, high-impact role at the heart of our integrated Risk, Resilience and Compliance teams within the Legal & Compliance function. We are a fast-paced, innovative, industry leader where technology and software are deeply woven into everything we do.

What You Will Do

  • Enhance the risk strategy & ERM framework: Provide visible leadership, refine and optimise an already embedded framework, and position risk as a driver of strategic and commercial advantage.
  • Advance risk governance: Lead innovative reporting to the Risk Committee and Executive, delivering predictive insights and decision-ready recommendations.
  • Deepen business integration: Further mature the RCSA programme and embed risk intelligence into strategic planning, transformation programmes, and operational decisions.
  • Second line oversight: Deliver insightful, value-adding challenge to first-line management in line with the Three Lines Model, focusing on trends, emerging threats, and organisational resilience.
  • Principal risk leadership: Partner with the Director of Risk, Resilience & Compliance, and senior leaders to oversee principal and Level 2 risks, ensuring dynamic monitoring, aggregation, and early-warning capabilities.
  • Controls & assurance uplift: Drive continuous improvement, integrating technology and analytics to strengthen assurance and control monitoring.
  • Evolve risk appetite & culture: Maintain and refresh the risk appetite framework so it actively shapes investment, growth, and resilience strategies.
  • Horizon scanning & foresight: Apply analytics, market intelligence, and scenario thinking to identify and prepare for emerging risks, from AI ethics to climate and resilience challenges.

What You Will Have

  • Proven success advancing a mature ERM framework deeper into strategic decision-making.
  • Strong governance experiences refining Board and Executive risk reporting to deliver predictive, actionable insights.
  • An innovation mindset, leveraging GRC platforms, automation, and AI to enhance risk capability.
  • Leadership that embeds a proactive risk culture across senior teams and operations.
  • Expertise in horizon scanning to anticipate and prepare for emerging threats and opportunities.
  • Experience in complex, multi-market, or technology-driven organisations; SaaS or regulated sector experience is an advantage.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Risk, Business, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Professional certifications preferred: IRM (GradIRM/CMIRM/FIRM), IIA (CIA/CRMA), or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 31000, the Three Lines Model, and the UK Corporate Governance Code (2024).
  • Board-level experience engaging on risk appetite and principal risks.
  • Proficient with RCSA, GRC platforms, and data analytics; AI-driven risk insight experience is desirable.
  • Understanding of cyber, resilience, data/privacy, and third-party risk management.
