Role Introduction

We are seeking a high-impact SDR Manager to build, drive, and lead a results-obsessed team that consistently beats pipeline targets in a fast-moving SaaS environment. You’ll set the standard for performance, instil a competitive winning culture, and develop SDRs into elite sales professionals. While you care about your team’s growth, your primary mission is to deliver measurable results—creating a relentless focus on activity, quality, and outcomes that generate revenue, delight our customers and progress sales careers.

Please note that this is an office-based role with 4 days a week in our Birmingham office located in the Mailbox.

What You Will Do

  • Pipeline & Revenue Ownership – Set ambitious SDR targets aligned with company revenue goals, track progress daily, and ensure consistent overachievement.
  • Performance Culture – Drive a competitive, high-energy environment where activity, quality, and results are the standard and SDRs are motivated to win.
  • Reporting – Report performance and key KPIs to leadership weekly and monthly, providing insights and recommended actions.
  • Lead Management & Handoffs – Ensure inbound leads are followed up within required SLAs and that all opportunities meet qualification criteria and that a smooth, professional transition from SDRs to Sales takes place —internally and for prospects—ensuring deals start strong.
  • Outreach Excellence – Work with the team to develop & iterate high-quality, multi-channel outreach sequences (email, LinkedIn, calls, direct mail, etc.).
  • Early Risk Detection – Identify underperformance early and implement targeted improvement plans.
  • Talent Acquisition – Hire top performers into open roles and maintain a strong pipeline of potential candidates for backfills.
  • Coaching & Development – Deliver ongoing 1:1 and group training sessions to sharpen sales, product & sector skills, boost productivity, and prepare SDRs for closing roles. Develop SDRs into Senior SDRs and then field sellers, building a strong internal talent pool for our field sales team and future sales leaders.
  • Process Improvement – Recommend and implement process enhancements that improve lead quality, conversion rates, and pipeline-to-revenue performance.
  • Collaboration – Partner with Marketing and Sales leadership to optimize lead flow, targeting, and messaging.
  • Market & Product Expertise – Maintain a deep understanding of our product, industry, and competitors to ensure SDRs deliver compelling, customer-focused conversations.
  • Customer-First Mindset – Foster customer-first thinking, ensuring that every interaction builds trust, delivers value, and moves prospects closer to a sale.

What You Will Have

What you will Be:

  • Target-Driven Leader – Relentlessly focused on achieving and exceeding team pipeline and revenue targets, with a proven ability to inspire the same in others.
  • Ambitious Sales Driver – Hungry to grow the team’s performance, your own leadership impact, and the company’s market share.
  • Compelling Communicator – Able to clearly articulate goals, strategies, and feedback, while ensuring messaging is value-led and aligned to the customer.
  • Strategic Listener – Skilled at gathering insights from your team, peers, and prospects to refine processes, remove blockers, and create winning approaches.
  • Relationship Builder – Capable of forging strong connections with SDRs, cross-functional colleagues, and senior stakeholders, in person and across digital channels.
  • Organisational Expert – Highly efficient in structuring team workflows, managing priorities, and optimising time to maximise output and results.
  • Analytical Problem Solver – Uses data and insight to identify performance gaps, uncover opportunities, and develop targeted coaching or process changes.
  • Solution-Focused – Resilient under pressure, always finding alternative routes to success when obstacles appear.
  • CRM & Process Champion – Understands the value of accurate data, ensures meticulous lead management, and guarantees a smooth, quality handoff of qualified opportunities to the sales team.

What you will have:

  • 3+ years leading SDR or inside sales teams in a high-growth B2B tech/SaaS environment.
  • Proven track record of leading & motivating teams that exceed pipeline and revenue contribution targets.
  • Experience designing and managing commission structures that drive the right performance.
  • Strong recruitment, coaching, and career development skills—promoting SDRs into Senior SDR and closing roles.
  • Data-driven mindset with strong command of CRM and sales engagement tools.
  • A competitive, resilient leadership style with the ability to create urgency and deliver results in fast-moving markets.
