What You Will Do

Systems and Controls Accountant high level responsibilities:

  • Run revenue recognition system processes, prepare reporting and analytics, liaise with relevant teams to investigate and resolve balances
  • Manage system administration (chart of accounts, subsidiaries and other master data/set up as required)
  • Support in documentation of finance manual, and related policies/procedures
  • Continually assess processes, ensure effective use of system capabilities, identify enhancements/automations and process improvements
  • Document and deliver risk & control matrices across all key financial processes
  • Drive system access reviews, design processes for ongoing monitoring
  • Independent review and input to reconciliation processes and other operating controls, ensure control issues addressed
  • Support in resolution of audit issues/control points, and support in delivery of audit evidence
  • Coordinate on acquisition integration across key areas

This role will report into the Group Accounting Manager, who will oversee and support these activities.

What You Will Have

Requirements:

- Fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CA)

- Experience in a controls role (internal audit or other controls design and or testing capacity) is an advantage

- Experience in a systems role is an advantage

 

You’re a detail-oriented problem solver, a strong communicator, and a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment. We’re looking for:

  • A qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA or equivalent) 
  • Proven expertise in financial risks and controls, or internal audit
  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to interpret and present data clearly
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards
  • Experience with financial systems – Salesforce and NetSuite are a bonus

 

Please note: This is a Hybrid role, requiring 3 days based from our Head Office, Birmingham City Centre - Mailbox.
